Both coaches of our team, Tasos Doumas and Vasilis Bourkas, have submitted their resignations from the technical leadership of Iraklis Thermaikou, thus closing a three-year cycle marked by significant work and notable achievements.

During their joint tenure at the club, the two coaches played a decisive role in the competitive and organizational upgrade of the team, leading it to important sporting successes. Among the highlights were promotion to a higher division and participation in a Cup Final. Particularly noteworthy was Iraklis Thermaikou’s first-ever participation in Third National League, where the team has competed with dignity against historic clubs.

As part of his departure, Tasos Doumas stated: “I would like to thank the Imionidis family and Messrs. Baka, Toulkeridis, and Mavridis for the excellent cooperation during the three years that Vasilis and I worked together. I believe we significantly changed the team’s dynamics. We earned footballing respect and achieved several distinctions, including promotion and participation in a Cup Final. Moreover, in our first season in Third National League, against historic teams, we competed with dignity. I wish the club every success in achieving its goals. Finally, I would like to thank the rest of the team staff and, above all, all the players I worked with over these three years.”

Vasilis Bourkas stated: “I would like to thank the Imionidis family for the opportunity they gave me over these three years to work together and achieve many important things for this team, for this family called Iraklis Thermaikou. I believe that, for the good of the team, our departure is necessary, as it may serve as a wake-up call for the players to redefine their goals, so that Iraklis can reach the level envisioned by Mr. Imionidis. I would like to thank all my collaborators during these three years, and especially Tasos Bakas and Giorgos Imionidis, who were always by our side whenever we needed anything, supporting us in every issue and striving to find solutions. I would also like to thank Vasilis Toulkeridis, who brought new energy to the team by solving many problems. I thank Mr. Theofanous, our equipment manager Dimitris Papafloratos, and personally each and every player who passed through our hands and Iraklis Thermaikou over these three years. This is something we truly lived, enjoyed, loved, and built to the best of our ability so that we could all enjoy it together.”
