The management of Iraklis Thermaikou is pleased to announce the beginning of its collaboration with Thanasis Kavasis, who will take on the role of fitness coach and performance analyst for our team for the upcoming season.

Thanasis Kavasis is a graduate of the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science (TEFAA) at Democritus University of Thrace, with a specialization in football, and holds a UEFA B coaching license. He also holds a certification in the application of new technologies and video analysis methods for evaluating football player performance (performance analysis), significantly strengthening our team’s technical staff.

His coaching journey began at Aias Evosmou, in the A Division of the EPSM, where he served as assistant coach. He later joined the staff of Poseidonas Michanionas, competing in Third National League, initially as a fitness coach and performance analyst at the end of the 2022-2023 season, and then exclusively as a fitness coach for the 2023-2024 season.

Last season (2024-2025), he took over as head coach of Enosi Kallitheas Sykeon in the A Division of EPSM, gaining valuable experience as the leader on the bench.

In his first statement as a member of our club, he said:

“I’m very happy to join Iraklis Thermaikou family, a team that is well-organized and follows professional standards. A club like this also has high expectations from everyone, so a lot of hard work awaits us from day one. I wish for a successful season!”
